StreetWires Featured on XTREME 4X4 on Spike TV's Powerblock

StreetWires, the inventor of premium power distribution products for vehicular use, was chosen as an aftermarket upgrade for the "Suburban Gorilla Project" on Xtreme 4X4 which aired for the first time Sunday, March 18th. This episode aired again on Spike TV on Saturday, March 24th at 1:00pm EST/PST. The "Suburban Gorilla Project" consists of a Suburban chassis that was stripped and restored to be the structure for a Banks Engineering twin turbo diesel engine and aftermarket fiberglass Hummer H1 body to create the "ultimate" tow vehicle. The idea was to create a vehicle that was cool enough to travel in to and from the trails but powerful and versatile enough to tow a custom made trailer with a rock crawler on it and use it to pull disabled vehicles off the trail if necessary. The entertainment while traveling was solved by adding a complete MTX system consisting of TX6001 separates in all four doors, TC8001 amp, TC6004 amp, and two 10" Thunder5500 subwoofers. On the episode that aired last Sunday and will air again this Saturday, Ian Johnson, one of the hosts of Xtreme 4X4, explains that the 6 foot cables that are shipped with the winch that he had installed just wouldn't cut it especially since the battery was mounted over twenty feet away from the winch. In order to solve this problem, he turned to StreetWires 1/0 AWG cable which contains OFC (Oxygen Free Copper) which will resist corrosion thus maintaining maximum current flow throughout its life. The wire also contains high strand count which ensures maximum current flow and minimal voltage drop in the wire. This type of exposure for the StreetWires brand is something that is necessary to educate consumers on what makes great wire and automotive electrical accessories. Far too often people buy high performance electrical components such as car audio amplifiers, winches, auxiliary lighting, etc... but they do not supply these components with the electrical power they need to perform at their optimum level. By using StreetWires electrical accessories, the investment in high performance components is maximized because the components aren't starved for power. The Suburban Gorilla also use s StreetWires battery terminals which can be seen on the episode with multiple runs of StreetWires 1/0 AWG power and ground cables attached to the dual battery setup.
