connectors for car audio, announces its acceptance of a 2004 CES
Innovations Design and Engineering Award for the new CBR44S Combo
Fuse Block. This new product, equipped with AFS fuses, made its
debut at this year's International CES Show in Las Vegas.
The CBR44S represents the pinnacle of high performance positive and
negative power distribution in a single practical package. It was
designed to provide a central connection point of positive and
negative power cables used in elite, complex, multi-amplifier mobile
entertainment systems. This feature makes for cleaner and more
organized installations - just one of the reasons why this combo
block is one of the most installer-friendly accessories around.
These blocks cater to serious mobile entertainment enthusiasts who
require power distribution for multiple devices. They provide a
stable and convenient distribution of positive and negative cables
for up to four audio amplifiers. Each of the four positive outputs
is fused with an AFS mini wafer style fuse, ranging from 40 to 150
Amps, which lends compact size and high current capability. The ring
terminal input allows the main positive and negative input to be any
gauge cable and the 4/8 gauge outputs accept either 4 or 8 gauge
cable without the use of an adaptor ring.
Cosmetically, the CBR44S was designed to be so attractive that it is
typically displayed prominently, rather than hidden where you might
find more common distribution blocks. And with a small footprint, it
takes up a lot less space than many of the competing brands. The
connection lugs are forged from high quality brass with a diamond
pulse plated finish while the fasteners and hardware are all gold
plated American Standard sizes. Its black polycarbonate base and a
clear polycarbonate cover guarantee the CBR44S stays stable under
high temperature conditions as well as resistant to gas and oil. All
